Providence and the union representing its striking nurses will resume in-person talks for the first time since the two sides reached an ill-fated agreement nearly two weeks ago, the Oregon Nurses Association said Monday.

Officials at Providence Health and Services have agreed to return to negotiations with a union representing nearly 5,000 nurses across eight hospitals statewide.

As the Providence nurses strike inches toward the five-week mark with no end in sight, the question becomes which side feels more pressure to settle.
