Tom Brands (born April 9, 1968) is an American former Olympic wrestler and is currently the head coach of the University of Iowa men's wrestling team. He won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Brands was a four-time All-American at Iowa (1989-92). During his Hawkeye career, he won three NCAA titles and was named Outstanding Wrestler of the 1992 NCAA Championships.

In 1996 at Atlanta, Tom stood on the topmost step as an Olympic Gold Medal was slipped around his neck. For the past nine years, he has been an assistant head coach at Iowa.
