The Israeli army withdrew its 36th division containing the elite Golani brigade from northern Gaza on Monday for rest and training. The rest of its divisions will continue fighting. The Golani brigade is considered one of Israel’s most experienced and decorated army units. The move is seen as part of Israel’s plan for a long war in Gaza, in which roughly 24,000 Palestinians have been killed. | Middle East Eye
