The Bay of Fundy has been on our journey list for years, and it was every bit as wild as we imagined. This place is home to the world’s largest tides, rising and falling more than 50 feet in just six hours—and we weren’t about to just watch it from shore. First up: mudslides. We slipped, slid, and laughed until we were unrecognizable, covered head-to-toe in Bay of Fundy mud. Then it was time for the main event—rafting the tidal bores during an “extreme wave” window.
