Our stockings of Aussie bass and estuary perch continued this week with the Snobs team releasing more than 98,000 fingerlings into 4 waterways. Aura Vale Lake received 5,000 estuary perch with help from locals Claudia and her dad. The last time we stocked Aura Vale Lake with EPs was back in 2021 so it’s a fishery to keep an eye on as it matures in years to come. We also stocked 28,800 estuary perch into Upper Stony Creek Reservoir. It was last stocked with EPs in 2023 when we released 24,000 and

How good! Check out our first stocking of estuary perch for the season. Thyson from our Snobs Creek Hatchery released 10,000 into Lake Tyers, and 20,000 into the Gippsland Lakes (split between Newlands Arm and Hollands Landing). We first stocked Gippy Lakes with estuary perch back in 2020, when we made the lakes free of commercial nets. Its reputation as an estuary fishing hotspot continues to grow, offering top-notch black bream, dusky flathead and EPs to name a few. Stay tuned, we’re coming in
