Since the mill restoration and opening in 1976 through the decades to today, volunteers from the community have always been the heart of the Ledyard Up-Down Sawmill. We were thrilled to be visited this spring by Wendell Snell who volunteered at the mill in the 1970s - it was wonderful to meet one of the early volunteers at the sawmill.
