CALIFORNIA SUN Take five guys from Indiana, put them together in a band from the local high school and what do you get? This time it is the unlikely combination of the hit song, “California Sun”. The Rivieras turned “California Sun” into a smash hit in1964. Friends from the start, the young men took the name for their band from the car, the Buick Rivera, but it worked well with their song as many thought them to be another surf band from California. The 24K Gold girls performed our version of, “
