Arnis, also known as Eskrima or Kali, is a traditional Filipino martial art that uses sticks, blades and empty-hand techniques. It is the national martial art of the Philippines and is often taught to promote discipline, self-defense and personal growth. Through a Children International Life Skills program, Fatima learned Arnis and discovered strength and resilience both on the mat and in everyday life. Supported by Children International since first grade, she has grown as an athlete, a student
