Pepsi – “The Choice” (Super Bowl 2026): When a Polar Bear Breaks Free from Cola Loyalty

Creator on Instagram: "Pepsi just pulled one of the boldest Super Bowl stunts in advertising history — flipping the script on Coca-Cola by hijacking its iconic polar bear. In a move that instantly reignited the cola wars, the ad features Ben Stiller as the bear’s therapist, blending satire, nostalgia, and rivalry into one unforgettable moment. Set to Queen’s “I Want to Break Free,” the commercial doesn’t just sell soda — it makes a statement. This wasn’t subtle, and that’s exactly why it worked.

Pepsi is poking the bear again. 🫵 A Super Bowl ad for Pepsi Zero Sugar touts a new victory in the Pepsi Challenge, the decades-old sampling program revived in 2025, using a conflicted polar bear that evokes rival Coca-Cola without ever naming it. Led by BBDO and the Pepsi Content Studio, “The Choice” bets that taste—and a bit of goofy bravado—is still the most persuasive case Pepsi can make, a claim the brand has spent the past year testing in the real world. “This is not about cola wars,” said

#ColaWars: In Pepsi’s latest Super Bowl ad, the brand reimagines Coca-Cola’s iconic polar bear in a blind taste test — where the bear unexpectedly chooses Pepsi. What follows is a funny and self-aware journey of confusion, therapy and acceptance, shaped by @taikawaititi’s storytelling and backed by the energy of 'I Want To Break Free'. The story peaks with a stadium moment, where the polar bear finds itself on a kiss cam during a concert, turning its dilemma into a pop-culture spectacle. Agency:
